Team Motivation: Way to Success!
A motivated leader is one of the key elements to the success of any organization or business. Team motivation is one of the tasks given to a leader.
Team motivation is actually a practice that any individual can implement in their marketing business or organization. It is a good avenue to share your training and thoughts that could help in motivating your business partners and probably, inspire them to take actions. Even if you don’t have experience, you can still motivate your team to achieve absolute success.
However, you need to do everything and act as chief executive officer of the entire organization. Think of your team as enterprise; inspire them to act as the chief executive officer of their business. Afterwards, you try to come together and share the resources as well as ideas to help each other grow as one unified unit.
Ways to motivate team members
Many books have explained various ways to motivate team members. To give you an idea, here are some ways or tactics that may help you in building up team motivation to achieve the desired goals of the organization.
- Get a starting guide
As the leader, you must put together a “getting started guide”. For sure, the new members of the team are pretty much excited about their new business. Since you’re already in the business before they came, therefore you have more experience with setting up certain things for the business, why don’t you make a simple “getting started guide” to help them? Think of it as an orientation program for new employees. By doing this, it only shows that you really care for your business partner and for their individual success.
- Create an online community
Try to create an online community, websites like Google groups, yahoo and other sites offer different and free platforms that allow you to instantly organize and start an online group. This is a great means to gather all your business partners ‘altogether so they could meet each other, share or collaborate ideas, tools, notes and the like. You may install all your training materials on the site for future reference. These types of communities are an excellent way to foster team motivation.
- Brainstorming sessions
Alpha attraction as well as retention is always linked to “innovation”. Keeping a record on weekly basis and being innovative; brainstorming sessions will be much easier. Invite the members of your team to participate during brainstorming sessions and challenge them to voice out their opinions. It helps to remove or overcome fear and it is also a great way to prepare them as future leaders.
If you want to become a leader, you must follow a leader first and then you will become a good leader someday.
